Zajac, Joan Prince

Joan Zajac, 95, of Blacksburg, died Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Lewis Gale Hospital Montgomery. She was born in Bermuda on October 27, 1923, to the late Percy and Ann Prince.

She grew up in England, Scotland and Wales where she met her future husband, Robert Zajac, during World War II. In 1945 she moved to Michigan where she remained until moving to Blacksburg in 1990.

She is survived by daughter, Anne and husband, Gareth Moore, and their children, Isabel and Alistair; son, William and wife, Karen Baclawski, and their children, Alexander and Joanna.

Memorial services Thursday, February 21 at Christ Episcopal Church with Rev. Scott West officiating. A visitation at 2 pm in the church library will precede the funeral service at 3pm with a reception to follow.
