Young, Marlene Crisp

Marlene Young, 63 of Christiansburg, passed away January 4, 2024. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, S.B. Morgan and Lucy Holmes Morgan and Mary Dell Crisp and Samuel Crisp; and her parents, James Donald Crisp and Ruth Elizabeth Morgan Crisp.

Marlene is survived by her husband, Wayne Young; daughters, Nakisha Crisp, Latoya Young, Latricia Young, Natasha Dillion (Andrew); grandchildren, Morgan Young-Stewart, Harper Dillion, Kamryn Dillion; as well as a host of aunts, sisters-in-law, cousins, and friends.

Marlene worked in cosmetology, childcare, data processing, and Certified Nursing Assistant work. Marlene loved to spend time traveling and spending time with her family. She loved seafood and always wanted to eat crab anytime she could. She was obsessed with Michael Jackson and the Jackson Five. One thing she always spoke highly of was that all of her daughters were college educated and getting the opportunity to watch her granddaughters and grandson grow up.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 12-1 p.m. at Schaeffer Memorial Church, with Funeral Services to begin at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Schaeffer Cemetery, Christiansburg.
