Young, Eva Thompson

Eva Thompson Young, of Radford, Va., born June 18, 1908, departed this life on Monday, April 14, 2008 at NRV Medical Center.

Preceding Eva in death was her husband, Aaron A. Young; sisters, Lava Shrewsbury, Lena Brown, Ann Lee Smith; and brothers, Arl, Morris, Edwin, Fielder and Raynard Thompson.

She is survived by her son, Gary and wife, Martha, of Radford, Va.; granddaughters Laura and husband, Bradley Angell, of Lebanon, Tenn., Meg and husband, Dean Keener, and great-grandchildren, Julia and Kyle, of Harrisonburg, Va.; sister, Lula Shrewsbury; sister-in-law, June Thompson; brother-in-law, Robert R. Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Eva was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Radford. The family requests in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to either the Central United Methodist Church Building Fund or the Choir, 803 Wadsworth St., Radford, Va. 24141.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2008, at the Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford. Graveside services will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, W.Va., on Saturday, April 19, 2008, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Ric Wright officiating. The Young family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
