She was met at the gates of heaven by her husband, Curtis Yost; son-in-law, Sherman Cox; and all that have gone before her. She leaves behind daughters and son-in-law, Doris Jean and Carl Martin of Blacksburg, and Mildred Cox of Christiansburg; grandchildren and their spouses, Amanda and Robert Lewis, Alisha and Travis Lester, Darren and Emily Wood, Jesse Gwinn, Stacy and Jason Merriman; great-great-grandchildren, Emily, Zachary, Mallory, Mckenna, Curtis, Parker, Jacoby, and Rylan.
The family would like to thank the faculty and staff of Heritage Hall for taking such good and loving care of Granny in her last years of this journey.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 29, 2014, from 12-2 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Chapel, with Rev. Jube Burk officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg.
When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, ‘I used everything you gave me.’
