Yopp, James Allen

James Allen Yopp, 46, of McCoy, died Monday, February 6, 2012. He was born in Princeton, W.Va., on August 13, 1965, and was preceded in death by his father, James Paul Yopp Sr. James was a member of Community Christian Church in McCoy, and the Prices Fork Grange in Prices Fork. He was a proud participant in the Mike Petersen’s Kempo-Karate School. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Lynn Yopp, of McCoy; his mother, Annie L. Yopp, of Rich Creek; two stepsons and daughters-in-law, James L. and Rose Barnett, of McCoy, Bill E. and Melissa Barnett, of Troutville; three brothers and sisters-in-law, James Paul Jr. and Cathy Yopp, Charles H. and Angie Yopp, all of Narrows, Michael J. and Christy Yopp, of Ballard, W.Va.; six grandchildren, Ashlee, Briana, Amanda, Jackson, Jacob, and Autumn; two faithful friends, Herman Dent and Michael Nelson; three nieces; and three nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the Community Christian Church, with James O. Flaugher and David Williams officiating. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton, W.Va. Flowers would be appreciated, or memorial contributions may be made to the Christiansburg Rescue Squad, P.O. Friends may call anytime after noon Wednesday and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg.
