Wylam, Aaron Lee
Aaron Lee Wylam, 32 of Christiansburg, beloved son of Danny and Wanda Wylam, was born on July 4, 1985 and went to be with the Lord after a long illness on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
He is also survived by his uncles and aunts, Monte and Bonnie Smith, Donna and Donnie Linkous, and Kevin Wylam; great uncles H.M. Smith and Dennis Massey and great aunt Edythe Lamb; first cousins Elaine Smith, Scott (Meghan) Linkous, Katie (Douglas) Tinder, Kyle Wylam, Harlie Wylam and Kolten Wylam; and many other loving family members and friends. Aaron was predeceased by his grandparents Robert and Betty Wylam and William and Louise Smith.
Aaron was a graduate of Christiansburg High School, New River Community College and Arizona State University (Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication). Aaron was a hard worker at the various jobs he held. He was a talented writer and copy editor. He loved family gatherings, eating Mexican food with his dad, mom’s German chocolate birthday cake, aunt Bonnie’s sweet tea, swimming, the Chicago Cubs and Arizona.
Aaron’s church family at Fairview Community Church filled his life with love and prayer. The family is especially thankful for the nurses and doctors who cared for Aaron on the 8th Floor Mountain Pavilion Medical ICU.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 2 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmie Lee Price and Rev. Dennis Hutchison officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg.

Arron, I will miss you and the all the times we chatted with each other,
