Wuchevich, Nick C.

Nick C. Wuchevich, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at the Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg, WV. Born December 29, 1940, in Yukon, WV, he was the son of the late Nick C. Wuchevich Sr. and Irene Ada Cozart Wuchevich.

Nick loved working as a hard rock miner, drilling the shafts used for mining coal. His job was his life, and he took great pride in it. He attended Victory Pentecostal Church in Lindside, WV. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend.

In addition to his parents, Nick was preceded in death by one daughter, Vickie Sue Wuchevich; two sisters, Josephine Duncan and Sarah Underwood; and two brothers, Matthew Thomas Wuchevich and David Thomas Wuchevich.

Those left to cherish Nick’s memory include his loving wife of 62 years, Kay Walsh Wuchevich; his children, Nickie R. Wuchevich and wife Tammy, and Regina Wuchevich Boothe, all of Ballard, WV, William David Wuchevich, and Addarius King Wuchevich, both of Peterstown, WV; one sister, Darlene Daniels of Oak Hill, WV; grandchildren, Stacy, Tara, Amber, Nickolas, Myranda, and Tanya Jo; several great grandchildren; special friend, Kathy Hylton; and many extended family members, friends, and his church family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, May 19, 2023, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, WV, with Pastor J.C. Finley officiating. Burial will follow at the Dry Pond Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Ballard, WV. Visitation will be held from 1:00PM until time of services on Friday at the funeral home.
