Wright, Ilene Hilda

Ilene Hilda Wright, 88, of the No Business community of Bland, VA, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2019 at Carrington Place, Wytheville. She was born May 15, 1931 at Hollybrook, the daughter of the late Eugene Wellington & Minnie Edith Ramsey Wright.

Ilene was a quiet soul that kept to herself. She was a quilt maker. She enjoyed her daily walks. She liked wildflowers and rock lilies. She was loved by many neighbors and will be greatly missed.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Fairly Wright, Willard Wright and Ned Wright.

Left to cherish her memory is her sister, Barbara Mabe; 3 nephews; 2 nieces; and many friends and neighbors, which brought joy to her life.

Ilene made plans for this day. She was strong-willed and knew exactly what she wanted when the Lord called her home. Per her wishes, there will be a graveside service Monday, December 16, 2019 at 9:00 A.M. at Shiloh Cemetery. The Mechanicsburg Charge pastor, Rev. Danny Shortridge, will officiate.
