Homer “Ding” Lee Wright, 82, of Hollybrook, VA, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2019. He was born April 20, 1937, the son of the late Charles Herbert & Hallie Lawrence Wright.

He was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church and was a godly man who led prayer constantly whether it was at the shop, leaving his children’s homes or before meals. He was a faithful member of the “Old Crow Coffee Pot Crew” at Wright Auto Center where he was in charge of keeping the coffee pot hot. He enjoyed watching NASCAR. He loved his grandbabies and will be missed by those who knew him.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Francis Wright, a grandson, Phillip Mullins, two brothers and four sisters.

Left to cherish his memory are his son & daughter-n-law, Samuel Kim Wright and Cindy U. Wright; his daughter & son-in-law, Laura & Warren Mullins; his grandchildren, Sam & Katie Wright, Chelsea Wright & Jeremy Anderson and Rachel Davis; his great-grandchildren, Harper Wright, Camden Wright, Cohen Wright, Hallie Davis, Gunner Davis, Charles Mullins, Bradley Harless and Andrew Harless; his brother & sister-in-law, Ted & Janet Wright; his sister, Julie Hayes and a very special family friend, his girlfriend, Irma Havens.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at 7:00 P.M. at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Shortridge officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P. M. until service time, 7:00 P.M. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 12:00 P.M. at Shiloh Cemetery.
