Wright, Hazel Marie Anders

Hazel Marie Anders Wright December 20, 1929 – October 1, 2013  Hazel was born in Indiania to the late Ella Mae Morton and Walker Anders. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Anna Faye Kilby, Amanda Elizabeth Shaffer, Caroline Irene Anders; half-sister, Anna Ruth Baker. brothers, Leonard Anders and William Smith Anders and son George Hicks.

Surviving: one son and spouse, Milton and Barbara Hicks of Independence, VA; one sister and spouse, Juanita Ruth and Olen Shaffer of Churchville, MD; God daughter, Brooke Nelson of Independence, VA; half-brothers and spouses, Larry and Nancy Anders, Gale and Emma Lee Anders, Tommy and Roxanne Anders and Jimmy Anders all of Independence, VA; half-sister, Marian Palaco of Sparta, NC; two brothers-in-law, Randolph Wright of Galax, VA, and Grayson and Joyce Wright of Christiansburg, VA; sister-in-law, Lela Wright of Independence; two granddson, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October, 4, 2013 at Independence Church of God of Prophecy with interment in Independence Cemetery. Rev. Ronnie Harrison and Rev. Doug Stuart will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. prior to the funeral service.
