Wright, Alberta Meredith

Alberta Mae Meredith Wright of Christiansburg, VA passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2019. She was born October 26, 1928 to the late Albert Meredith and Iona Vaught Meredith of Newport, VA. Alberta was preceded in death by her husband, Martin E. Wright, six sisters, and two brothers.

She was a member of Riverview Holiness Church.

Survivors include her loving daughter, Kim Renee Wright Newman and son-in-law, Jay Newman of Christiansburg; treasured grandson, Taylor A. Newman of Bradenton, Florida; sisters, Bernice Frith of Blacksburg, Gloria Davidson of Christiansburg; brother, Allen L. Meredith of Newport, VA; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at Commonwealth Senior Living in Christiansburg, Good Samaritan Hospice with special thanks to nurse and friend Colleen Light.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice or Good Samaritan Hospice, 2408 Electric Rd. Roanoke, VA 24018 in honor of Alberta.
