Worrell Sr., Edgar Rufus

Edgar Rufus Worrell Sr., 67, of Christiansburg, passed away August 3, 2008. He was born September 10, 1940, in Pulaski County, Va., to the late Glenn John and Myrtle Virginia Collins Worrell.

He was preceded in death by a brother William M. Worrell. He retired from Dietrich Industries of Indiana.

He is survived by his children; Debbie, Novale, and Edgar Worrell, all of Indiana; brothers, Elbert Lee Worrell and wife, Barbara, of Mississippi ; Glenn E. Worrell and wife, Pauline, of Christiansburg, and JD Worrell and wife, Trudie of Christiansburg; sister, Teri Elizabeth StClair and husband, Roger, of N.C.; caregiver and special friend Misty Johnson; and a host of other family and friends.

Although flowers will be appreciated, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, August 7, 2008, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Wallace Yopp officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
