Opal Virginia Worrell, 83 of Dugspur, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2014. She is preceded in death by her parents, Quince & Emma Hylton; husband, James Chester “J.C.” Worrell; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters. She is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law, Wanda & Jay Moore of Dugspur, Carol Sue & Roger Weeks of Willis; grandsons, Kevin Moore & wife Michelle of Dugspur, Steven Moore of Dugspur, Randall Weeks of Willis; great-granddaughter, Amber Moore of Dugspur; brother, Clinton Donald Hylton of Meadows of Dan; sister, Nadine Quesenberry of Meadows of Dan; several nieces and one nephew. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joe Cox officiating. Interment will follow in the Mitchell Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Skyline Manor Nursing Home.
