Woolwine, Erma Poff

Erma Poff Woolwine, 91, of Pulaski, Va., and Asheville, N.C., passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2009. She was predeceased by her husband, John H. “Jack” Woolwine; and eight brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Nora Mae “Woolie” and Bob Wisham, of Asheville, N.C.; and a sister and brother-in-law, Dot and Gil Yates, of Dunwoody, Ga. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Erma was a long-time active member of the First Baptist Church of Pulaski. Over the years, she worked in various office administrative positions at Cavalier Supply, WPUV Radio, and First United Methodist Church. She was the Rental Manager for Carriage Hill Apartments when she retired.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2009, at the Stevens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment will be at Highland Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1652, Pulaski, Va. 24161.
