Jerry Dean Woolridge, 51, of Radford, Va., formerly of Skygusty, passed away Friday, November 3, 2006 of injuries received in a car accident in Bedford County, Va.

Born December 28, 1954 in Welch, he was the son of Josephine Woolridge of Skygusty, and the late John Lee Woolridge. He was a mechanic with Yokohama Tires in Salem, Va., and was retired from US Steel mine in Pineville.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thornton Lewis Woolridge. In addition to his mother, he will be sadly missed by one brother, Kenneth (Sonny) Woolridge and wife Marie of Skygusty; two sisters, Sandra Kay Camden and husband Carl of Forest, Va., and Carol Woolridge of Skygusty; one nephew, Thornton L. Woolridge and wife Melissa of Dublin, Va.; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Church of Christ in Skygusty with the Revs. Roney Marrs and Katherine Marrs officiating. Burial will follow in the Woolridge Family Cemetery, Skygusty. Friends may call at the church Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The Douglas Mortuary of Welch, W.Va. is serving the Woolridge family.
