Woodyard, Patricia Ann

Patricia Ann Woodyard, 79, of the Little Creek Community, Dublin, VA, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 22, 2020. She was born May 4, 1941, the daughter of the late Richard E. & Josie Duncan Linkous.

She was a member of the Church of the Living God. She loved to sing and play the organ. She lived her life for the Lord and stood by what she believed in. She loved her family and prayed for them all to be saved. She was an excellent cook and a good packer. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by those who knew her.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, David A. Woodyard, Jr., her daughter-in-law, Sherri Woodyard, her sisters, Irene and Marie and her brothers, Raymond, Hubert, Donald, Berman and Norman.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 63 years, David Allen Woodyard, Sr.; her daughters & son-in-law, Brenda & Donald Manning and Christine & Tim Ramsey; her son, Curtis Woodyard; step-daughter, Sue Rzucidlo; daughter-in-law, Anne Woodyard; 12 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; sisters & brother-in-law, Phyllis & Harold Kirk, who she had a special bond with and enjoyed front porch setting with, and Charlene Woodyard; sisters-in-law, Jeanie Linkous and Louise Linkous; brother-in-law, Carl & Mary Woodyard; and numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Jay & Patsy Gravely and their three boys.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 12:00 P.M. at the Church of the Living God with Bro. David Butcher and Bro. Tommy Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow in Hunter’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 A.M. until service time, 12:00 P.M.
