Howard Cadle Woodyard, 80, of the Little Creek Community of Dublin, VA, passed away Monday, September 1, 2020 at his home. He was born February 2, 1940 at Pulaski, VA, the son of the late Rev. Ray Howard & Gladys Marie Linkous Woodyard.

He attended the Church of the Living God. He was a master mechanic and enjoyed working and tinkering on things. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially breaking his pole catching halibut in Alaska. He was an amazing man, a great dad and friend and could answer any question or fix anything.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Linkous and a sister, Mary.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 60 years, Peggy Rupe Woodyard; his sons & daughters-in-law, Michael & Carolyn Woodyard, Mark Woodyard, Tim & Suzanne Woodyard and Terry Woodyard; his daughter & son-in-law, Agnes & Trampas Talavera; his grandchildren, Niki & Yancey Lockhart, Molly & Sam Cox and Timmy Woodyard; 2 great-grandchildren, Noah Spence and McKenzie Woodyard; three brothers & sisters-in-law, Wayne & Bonnie Woodyard, Larry & Brenda Woodyard and Donnie & Patty Woodyard; three sisters & brothers-in-law, Lois & Darnell Wright, Sandra & Kenny Watson and Ethelene & David Sadler; several nieces and nephews, and many special friends and neighbors.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 3, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at The Church of the Living God with Bro. David Butcher and Bro. Tommy Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow in Hunter’s Cemetery, Alum Springs. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 A. M. until service time, 1:00 P.M.
