Wood, Walter Warren

Walter Warren Wood, 65, of Christiansburg, died March 11, 2007. He was the son of the late Robert and Maggie Wood. He was a retired employee from VDOT and was currently employed by Showcase Home Builders.

He is survived by his wife, Christine C. Wood; one daughter and son-in-law, Wanda W. and Glen F. Keith; two granddaughters, Kara R. Keith and Amy C. Keith; three brothers, Ervin Wood of Smith Mt. Lake, Henry Wood of Arkansas, Roy Wood of Floyd; and one sister, Shelby Conner of Christiansburg.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jim Bayne officiating. Interment will follow in the North Fork Cemetery, Montgomery County.
