Wood, Fred Jackson

Fred Jackson Wood, 69, of Pulaski, was called home on Sunday, July 6, 2008. The son of the late Luther Leonard and Gladys Wood, Fred retired from Poly-Scientific (Moog Industries) after 42 years of service.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Shelby; his loving children, Debra and Jerry Cook Sr., Ron Wood, Sandy Wood and Tom, and Karen Wood and Greg; and grandchildren, Jerry Cook Jr., Ariel Cook, Buzz Morris and his wife, Kelli, and Elaine Wood. He is also survived by his brothers, Leon, Bill and Joe; sisters, Margie, Dot, Betty Ann and Ruth; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 90, 2008, from 5 to 8 p.m. at The Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2008, in the North Fork Cemetery, Elliott Valley with Pastor Dewey Weaver officiating.
