Wood, Christine Cole

Christine Cole Wood, 85, of Christiansburg, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2016. She was born July 1, 1930, in Floyd County, to the late Oliver E. and Tressie Akers Cole.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter Warren Wood; sister, Mayrion Cole; three brothers, James Cole, Kenneth Cole, and Cecile Cole. Christine is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Glen Keith of Christiansburg; two very much loved granddaughters, Kara and Amy Keith; several special nieces and nephews; and her special baby, Peaches.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 3, 2016, from 1-2 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. in the Chapel, with Brandon Craig officiating. Interment will follow in North Fork Cemetery.
