Womack, Dale

Dale Womack, 63, of Blacksburg, Va., passed away Friday, March 20, 2009, at his home. He was born in Montgomery County on August 23, 1945, to the late William and Dorothy Womack. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Ed, Clyde, and Leroy Womack; sister, Gladys Roberts; his father-in-law, Dewey Perfater. He was an employee at Radford University. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Diane P. Womack; daughter and sonin-law, Shannon W. and John Carter, of Christiansburg; son, Lawrence A. Womack, of Blacksburg; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Leroy McDaniel, of Christiansburg, Shirley and Jerry Thompson, of Riner; grandson, Colson Carter; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Perfater; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Morris and Betty Perfater; sisters-in-law, Emma Womack and Virginia Womack; many loving nieces, nephews, family and special friends. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 23, 2009, at 2:30 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Sloss and the Rev. Wallace Yopp officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. Friends may call any time after noon on Sunday and the family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg.
