Dale Marie Witt, 95, died March 22, 2016 at her nursing home in Warm Hearth Village, Blacksburg, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Justin Tenney and Lee Hamilton of Cameron, Missouri.
She is survived by her sons, Michael R. Witt and his wife, Mikki of the Turks and Caicos Islands and Mark H. Witt and his wife, Lisa of Miami, Florida, and her daughters, Margo L. Walter and her husband, Chris of Pembroke, Virginia, and Marcia L. Needels and her husband, Paul of West Lake Village, California. She has eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Late in life she wrote many poems and an autobiographies traveling through her roads of life. Dale Marie was often called a free spirit and over the years lived and travelled all over the world. She was extremely enthusiastic about life and was attracted to people of all ages and kinds. She had an interest in learning many things and tried to live each day to its fullest.
From humble beginnings in Missouri to an adventuresome stay in the Turks and Caicos Islands, Dale Marie embraced life and shared it with special friends over the years. She will be surely missed by her family and since she had such an exciting life, the holiday dinners, the costume parties, and the many homes she built will be remembered forever.
