Wilson, Lucille Smart

Lucille Smart Wilson, 91, of Dublin, passed away Monday, January 17, 2011 at Highland Ridge Nursing Home. She was a member of Belspring Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Henry and Ethel Gilmore Smart, her husband, Joseph Ashton Wilson, brother, Robert Smart, sisters, Dorleen Roop and Frances Slater, grandson, Chris Wilson and son-in-law, Virgil Capps. Survivors include her daughter, Joyce Capps, of Christiansburg; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry L. and Mary Wilson, of Dublin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe H. and Bernice Smart, Jr. and Elwood and Virginia Smart; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy McCoy, Malieta Boyd, June and Forest Dobbins, Shirley and Pierce Crabtree, and Dolly Hedge; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday.
