Wilson, Jr., Alex Franklin

Alex Franklin Wilson, Jr., 82, of Staffordsville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 12, 2016. He was born April 3, 1934 at Meade, WV, the son of the late Alex Franklin, Sr. & Sally J. Stanton Wilson.

He was a strong member of New Village Pentecostal Holiness Church and helped raise several children from the community. He was also a United States Army veteran where he served proudly during the Korean Conflict.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Lee Evans Wilson, a son, Alex Franklin Wilson III, his brothers, John F., James E. (Ted), Edgar and Dallas Wilson, his sisters, Margaret E. Frazier and Martha Wilson, a foster brother, Bobby Lee Meadows and his brothers-in-law, Dominic Celozzi, Earl Frazier, Curtis Hall, Kenneth Friend and Rick Wilkinson.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Patricia Colmer and Nancy Wilson and friend Mike Saunders, all of Staffordsville; his sisters, Bea Celozzi, Delores Wilkinson, hazel Hall, Alletta Allen; his sister-in-law, Betty Wilson; his grandchildren, John & Jennifer Eads, Christopher & Angie Eads, William & Jessica Allen, Hank Heather Williams, Donald Williams, Joshua & Suzanna Williams, Billie Joe Williams, Alex F & Chelsea Wilson, Brian & Tammy Joe Keefer and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 16, 2016 at 12:00 P.M. at New Village Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Kathy Higgs and Rev. Lynn Garrison officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilson Family Cemetery, Staffordsville, with military rites provided by the Narrows VFW Post 6000, American Legion Posts Narrows #68, Pembroke #311 and Peterstown #145 . The family will receive friends Thursday, December 15, 2016 at the church from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making memorial donations in his honor to the Wilson Family Cemetery, c/o Celco Federal Credit Union 3381 Virginia Avenue, Narrows, VA 24124.
