Norine Foster Wills, 89, of Christiansburg, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 11, 2014, at Lewis Gale Hospital–Montgomery in Blacksburg. She retired from Corning Glass Works and was a member of the Christiansburg Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Kenneth G. Wills, Sr.; her father, Thomas Foster; her mother and step-father, Kate and Frank Webb; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia and Howard Smith, Frances and Lyman Jones, Mae and Eugene Helems, Lucy Foster, Harry Taylor, and A. R. Daniel, Jr.; her step-brother, Kelly Webb; her niece, Brenda Jones; and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Douglas and Garcia Wills.

Norine is survived by her daughter, Shelda M. Wills; her son and daughter-

in-law, Kenneth G., Jr. and Lois Wills; her granddaughter, Hayley Saunders and husband, Patrick, and step-son, Derek; her grandson, Travis Wills and partner, Ryan Dressel; her sisters, Mary Taylor and Eva Daniel; her step-sister, Zana Albert; her step-brother, Willis Webb; and nieces and nephews, Lyman and Marti Jones, Tom and Debbie Jones, John and Sandi Jones, Fred and Pat Jones, Richard and Paula Taylor, Nancy and Wyatt Sasser, Craig and Debbie Taylor, Judy and Billy Bess, Karen and Roger Denny, Sherri Buckley, Art Daniel, and Mary and Farrokh Langdana.

Norine’s family wishes to express its deepest appreciation to Dr. Gregory Beato and the nurses and support staff on the second floor of LewisGale Hospital–Montgomery for their loving care of her and for their sincere compassion for the family during this very difficult time.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at Horne Funeral Service, Christiansburg. The funeral service will take place Thursday, May 15, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Christiansburg Presbyterian Church, with Dr. Don Makin officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery.

While flowers are appreciated, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Christiansburg Presbyterian Church Tin Shop Renovation Fund, 107 West Main Street, Christiansburg, VA 24073; the Christiansburg Fire Department, 110 Depot Street, Christiansburg, VA 24073; or the Christiansburg Rescue Squad, 100 East Main Street, Christiansburg, VA 24073.
