Williams, Sadie Rae

Sadie Rae Williams, 89, of the Maybrook Community, Pembroke, VA, departed this life Wednesday morning, September 19, 2018 at her home in the care of her family and hospice. Born in Pembroke on December 31, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Clyde and Lillie Kate Meredith. She was a beloved homemaker and member of Mt Lebanon United Methodist Church at Hoges Chapel.

She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband of 69 years Gerald Stiff Williams; her brother Tommy Meredith of Radford; her sisters Aleta Lewis of Ohio and Clara Ann Duncan of Blacksburg; numerous devoted nieces and nephews and her faithful dog Scooter.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 21, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with burial following in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6 until 8 pm.
