amem_pinkliliesRuby Virginia Williams Williams, 94, of Christiansburg, Va., formerly a resident of Burlington for over 60 years passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Warm Hearth Village, Kroontje Care Center in Blacksburg, Va.

Born in Rural Retreat, Va., she was the daughter of the late John William and Lula Leedy Williams. She was a dedicated homemaker, gifted seamstress and avid gardener. She was a member of Sharon Evangelical Lutheran Church in Gibsonville, N.C., who loved being outdoors, making handmade crafts, quilting and offered her quick wit to the very last day with that special “GiGi” twinkle in her bright blue eyes.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Willie W. “Bill” Williams; her sister, Etta Mae King; brothers, James and Howard Williams; and her daughter, Billie Felshaw McGuire.

Survivors include, sister-in-law, Laura Corn Williams; daughter, Linda Williams Vaught and husband, Doyle of Christiansburg; granddaughters, Kimberly Webster Reese and husband, Scott of Vilas, N.C. and Kristi Rene Felshaw of Newnan, Ga.; grandsons, Kurt Anthony Webster and wife, Deidra of Conover, N.C. and Jeffery Edward Felshaw Jr. and wife, Hope of Marietta, Ga.; great-grandchildren; Walker and Kellyn Reese, Jeffery and Kaitlyn Felshaw, and Keaton Webster; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family will see friends between 12:15 to 1:45 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2016 at Sharon Evangelical Lutheran Church in Gibsonville, N.C., followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park Cemetery immediately following the service.
