Williams, Paul E.

Paul E. Williams, age 88, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at the Salem Health and Rehabilitation Center in Salem, VA. Born October 24, 1934, in McDowell County, WV, he was the son of the late Roller and Della Robinson Williams.

Above all, Paul loved the Lord, his church, and his family. He was a faithful member of Indian Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Greenville, WV, where he also pastored for many years. Additionally, he served as pastor at Indian Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Indian Valley, VA. He was a founding member and served on the Board of Directors for the First Sentinel Bank in Richlands, VA. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Reba E. Mann Williams; four brothers; two sisters; and his stepmother, Martha Jane Williams. Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Martha Witten and husband Tim of Roanoke, VA; two grandchildren, Marshall and Meredith Witten, both of Roanoke, VA; one brother, Roy “Shorty” Williams and wife Gracie of Princeton, WV; several nieces and nephews; many other extended family members; and his church family.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00PM on Monday, March 13, 2023, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, WV, with Elder Tim Witten officiating and Elder Norvel Mann assisting. Burial will follow at Keaton Cemetery in Greenville, WV. Visitation will be held from 11:00AM until time of services on Monday at the funeral home.
