Williams, Irma Lee
Irma Lee Williams, 89, of the Hoges Chapel Community at Pembroke, departed this life Wednesday morning, August 27, 2014 at Heritage Hall in Blacksburg. Born on June 25, 1925, at Hoges Store,she was a daughter of the late Walter and Edith Smith Turpin. She was a member of Mt Lebanon United Methodist Church and had been employed at the Celanese Plant for twenty-five years.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband William Elmer Williams, Sr., her brother Eugene Turpin, and her sister Juanita Turpin Saulnier.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son William Elmer Williams, Jr. of Hoges Chapel; her daughter and son-in-law Teresa and Greg Dudding of Hoges Chapel; her grandchildren J D Dudding, Adarah Williams, and Lance Williams; and her sister-in-law Lila Turpin of Dublin.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 am in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with burial following in the Mt Lebanon Church Cemetery at Hoges Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6 until 8 pm. Irma’a family wishes to thank the staff at Heritage Hall Blacksburg for their care for her during her long time with them.
