Williams, Frances Shealor
Frances Shealor Williams, age 73, of Blacksburg, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Lewis-Gale Hospital- Montgomery. She was born in Blacksburg on June 14, 1939, to the late James Fred and Beulah Allen Shealor. She was preceded in death by her twin brother, James Fred Shealor Jr.; and two sisters, Alice Martin and Fannie Criner. Frances was a devoted mother, grandmother, and dedicated to her entire family. She was patriotic, born on Flag Day and married on Pearl Harbor Day. As a U.S. Air Force wife, she enthusiastically supported her husband for more than 27 years in a variety of roles. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, T.O. Williams III, of Blacksburg; one son and daughter-in-law, T.O. IV (Tommy) and Betsy Williams, of Christiansburg; two grandchildren, Leslie Alexandra Williams and Sarah Leigh Rimer; one brother and sister-in-law, Duane and Bonnie Shealor, of Blacksburg; one sister, Ettie McCoy of Blacksburg; special niece and husband, Sheryl and Scott Bagg; and many other nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 18, 2012, at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr., SW, Blacksburg. A celebration of her life will be conducted Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the Luther Memorial Lutheran Church with the Rev. Gary Schroeder officiating, a reception following, and interment later in the Westview Cemetery.
