Williams, Edna Jean

Edna Jean William, 78, of Riner, Va. departed this life Friday, January 13, 2017 in Pawleys Island, S.C. in the care of her daughter and hospice.

Born in Glen Morrison, W.Va. on April 23, 1938 she was a daughter of the late Edward Vaughn West and Ella Louise Elswick West of Riner. She had been employed as an elementary school teacher.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband Shelburn Miller Williams (Shelly), a pharmacist in Pembroke. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter Diane Louise Williams Bibb of Pawleys Island, S.C.; her brothers Sammy West of Tennessee and Dannie West and his wife Elizabeth of Riner.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. conducted Sunday, January 22, 2017, in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St, Pembroke.The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the services. Online condolences may be sent by visiting kendallfuneralhome.com.
