Carl Franklin Williams, age 71, of Christiansburg died Thursday, January 25, 2018. He was born in Radford, VA on April 21, 1946 to the late Hobart Franklin and Almeda Hinkley Williams. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Craighead Williams; two sons and a daughter at birth; brother, Robert Williams; son-in-law, David Cupp.

He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Radford and he loved his church family. He also loved his life calling of being a cook at VA Tech, Radford University and the Montgomery County Moose Lodge. He loved bowling as a hobby but most importantly he loved his family and was loved by his family. Favorite past time was hunting with the oldest and dearest friend, Kenny Rasnake.

He is survived by his daughters, Tammy Cupp, Dawn Sexton and Anita Browning of Christiansburg; grandchildren, David R. Cupp and wife, Angie of Christiansburg, Dylan Nelson and wife, Paula of Texas, Alicia Nelson, Briana Sexton of Radford; great-grandchild, David Cupp II of Christiansburg; brother, Hobert Dean Williams of Dublin; nieces and nephews, Susie Cox, Deanna Giliam, Robbie Williams, of various locations; as well as other great-nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, Radford, with the Pastor Timothy Worles officiating. The family will receive friends before the service from 1-3:00 p.m. at the church.
