Williams, Bonnie Meredith

Bonnie Lou Meredith Williams, 87, of Maybrook, VA passed away October 24, 2021. Bonnie was born September 15, 1934 to the late James Aubrey Meredith and Lucy Smith Meredith. She was a 1952 graduate of Pembroke High School.

Bonnie worked 33 years for Virginia Tech where she was a med tech. She loved traveling west to visit her sister. She was a very talented crafter with crocheting and knitting. Many were recipients of her fine work. She was a feisty women known for her colorful language. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Williams, and sibling Barbara Meredith Raines (Bill).

She leaves to cherish her memory children, Randall Williams (Theresa) and Myra Williams; beloved granddaughter Jennifer Williams and her sisters and their children Courtney (Alexis), Samantha (McKenzie, Bentley & Clinton) and Sienna (A’Marii & Ivalee); her sweet sister-in-law, Jean Williams, whom which she spoke every day; dearest friend Loretta Smith; her loving companion, Mya Angel; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside services will be held Wednesday October 27, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the family home (7654 Virginia Ave, Pembroke, VA) with President Jon Passic officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Newport Rescue Squad. The family would like to thank Loretta Smith for her outstanding care and friendship to our family for many years, Carilion Giles Community Hospital staff for their great care and gentleness, Newport Rescue Squad for their service and Kendall Funeral Home.
