Willard, Raymond

Raymond Willard, 80, of Christiansburg, died Monday, March 24, 2008, at Highland Ridge Rehabilitation Center in Dublin, Va.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William “Sloke” and Edna James Willard; his wife, Ruby Roop Willard; son, Leon; brother, James and wife, Orpha Teel Willard; sisters-in-law, Joyce Williams and Oneada Roop.

Raymond is survived by his daughter, Kathy Willard and her boyfriend, Norman Kenneth Wood; sister, Irene Epperly and husband, Otto; sister-in-law, Betty Weeks and husband, J.D., of Ohio; and brother-in-law, Robert “Bob” Williams, of Christiansburg. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends at The Horne Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2008. The funeral service will be held in The Horne Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2008. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
