Willard, Elizabeth Aubin Keister

Elizabeth Aubin Keister Willard, of Blacksburg, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, June 18, 2013. She was born on June 15, 1933, to Murphy Templeton (Judge) and Mary Margaret Karr Keister. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Everett Glenvar “Feets” Willard Sr.; and by her sister, Grace K. Reynolds.

She was a loving wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother. Upon graduating from BHS, she worked for State Farm Insurance, retiring to become a homemaker and raise her children. Elizabeth was a lifelong member of Luther Memorial Lutheran Church. She is survived by her son, E.G. Willard Jr. (Karen), of Westminster, Colo; and daughter, Beth W. Fife (Tommy), of Mrytle Beach, S.C. Granny enjoyed doting on her grandchildren, Rhett Thomas Fife (Sherrie), Kyle Glen Fife, and S. Ashley Willard. Her most recent joy was spent with her great- grandchildren, sweet Everett and Scarlett Fife. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Osborne Reynolds; sister-in-law, Pat Willard; and brother and sister-in-law Keith and Betty Jo Estes. She was loved by special nieces, Robin, Tammy and Jan; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Elizabeth enjoyed keeping in touch with her family and friends. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2013, in the Luther Memorial Lutheran Church with the Rev. Joanna Stallings officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. Friends may call anytime after noon on Thursday, June 20, 2013, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday evening at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr. SW, Blacksburg.
