Wilburn, Mildred Marie

Mildred Marie Wilburn, 75, of Radford, Va., passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell “Red” and Clare Barton; her husband, Donald A. Wilburn; sister, Treva Barton; and half sister, Marie Ellen Barton.

She is survived by her son, Donald A. Wilburn Jr., of Knoxville, Tenn.; daughters, Belinda Jean Jones, of Laurel, Md., and Patricia Ann Kaplan, of Austin, Texas; granddaughter, Taylor Alexis Jones, of Laurel, Md.; and grandsons, David Wilburn Kaplan and Benjamin Wade Kaplan, both of Austin, Texas.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 19, 2011, from noon to 2 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg. The Funeral Service will follow at 2 p.m. at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John Tibbs officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association , 4504 Starkey Road, #115, Roanoke, VA 24018.
