Wilburn, Dewayne Edward

Dewayne Edward Wilburn, 50 of Narrows, passed away Wednesday, July 23rd, 2014 at his home on Wolf Creek. He was born in Pearisburg on January 17th, 1964 and was the son of the late Edward Lee (Pete) Wilburn, Jr. and Betty Lou Steele Wilburn. In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Troy Lee Wilburn.

A 1982 graduate of Narrows High School, Dewayne was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Mitzi Fletcher Wilburn; a son, Craig Wilburn; a daughter, Michelle Wilburn; a grandson, Memphis Wagner; a granddaughter, Shelby Cole; a sister, Deborah Wilburn of Narrows; and his beloved dogs, Bug and Hayley.

In keeping with Dewayne’s wishes, he will be cremated. A memorial service will be held Monday, July 28th, 2014 at 6 PM in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows.
