Wickline, Arndill Miller
Arndill Miller (Arnold) Wickline, 85, of Radford, died early Tuesday morning, May 29, 2007 at his Radford residence. He was born December 11, 1921 in Union, W.Va. and was the son of the late Hettie Miller Wickline and Leonard Kyle Wickline.
He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific aboard an anti-aircraft cruiser. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Radford (Disciples of Christ), a 56 year member of the Virginia May Masonic Lodge #38 A.F.&A.M, a member of the Masonic Royal Arch Chapter, a member of the V.F.W. Post 776, a member of the American Legion Post #30, and was associated with Dick Price Ford for over 32 years. In Arnold’s spare time he loved golfing and the beauty of antiques, especially clocks.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Evangeline Graham Wickline of Radford; one son, L. Graham Wickline and his wife Donna of Radford; one daughter, Brenda Wickline Lessard of Radford; one sister, Margie McCraw of Radford. Also survived by four grandchildren, Jason Wickline, Kimberly Wickline, Austin Wickline, Joseph Lessard, and one great-grandson, Kyle Wickline.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 31, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Radford with the Rev. Gina Rhea officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Burial Park where the V.F.W. Post 776 will conduct military honors.
The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until service time.
