Whittaker, Patsy Walker

Patsy Walker Whittaker, 60, of Radford, Va., passed away on Monday, December 28, 2009, at her home. She was retired from Radford University having served in dining services.

She was preceded in death by a grandchild, Amber Whittaker; and by a great-grandchild, Skylan Amos. She is survived by a son, Michael Wayne Whittaker, of Radford; two daughters and son-in-law, Cynthia Gail Linkous, of Radford, and Kimberly and Ernie Andrews, of Covington; her parents, Howard Clinton and Louise Hunley Walker, of Radford; brother, Johnny Walker, of Floyd; six grandchildren, Shaun Whittaker, Hallie Linkous, Allen Kirby, Thomas Linkous, Emma Whittaker, and Makaela Whittaker; and one great-grandchild, Isabelle Smith.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2009, at the Parrott Church of God with the Rev. Jim Walker and the Rev. Eddie Dalton officiating. Interment will follow in the West View Cemetery in Radford. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2009, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association.
