Whittaker, Linda Deanne

Linda Deanne Whittaker, 64, of Staffordsville, departed this life Sunday, May 6, 2012, at New River Valley Medical Center. Born in Princeton, W.Va. on June 28, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Emmet Brown and Olma Elizabeth Thompson Brown. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald Ray Whittaker; and two sisters, Pamela Rottenbury, and Mildred Rottenbury. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, and sisters. Her sons and daughters-in-laws, Donald “Bubby” and April Blankenship, of Staffordsville, Joe and Charlotte Blankenship, of Elgood, W.Va., Dean and Michelle Blankenship, of Raeford, N.C., David and Geri Blankenship, of Elgood, W.Va., Dwight and Terrina Blankenship, of Wayne, W.Va.; her daughters and sons-in-laws, Melinda and Paul Gusler, of Wilburn Valley, Vickie and Brian Wilson of Staffordsville; her grandchildren, Devin and Dawn Blankenship, Terri Wright, Pamela Blankenship, Sabrina Hodge, Brooke and Josh Blankenship, D.J. and Justen Blankenship, Dwight II, Katie, Tristan, and Shane Blankenship, William and Chrissy Gusler, Chasity and B.J. Wilson, and Nancy Sowers; her great-grandchildren; Caleb, Nicholas, Shawnta, Eric, Daralynn, Chanler, Zoey, and Melony; her brothers, Alvin “Butch” Brown, Westey Brown, Micheal Brown; and two sisters Lori Sowers, and Kathy Sue Brown. Funeral services will be conducted 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2012, in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow Street, Pembroke.
