Whittaker, Junior Edward “BoBo”

Junior Edward “BoBo” Whittaker, 66, of Maddy Dr. Blacksburg, and formerly of Pembroke, departed this life Saturday March 22, 2014 at Lewis Gale Montgomery Hospital in Blacksburg. Born in Giles County on September 21, 1947, he was a son of the late Raymond Jessie and Mary Elizabeth Lang Whittaker. He was also preceded in death by his brother Robert Whittaker and his sister Betty Ann Howard.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of twenty years Brenda Dowdy Whittaker; his brothers Truman and Roger Whittaker both of Pembroke; his sisters Mary Helen Martin and Frances May Snider both of Pearisburg, Marie Williams Fisher of Christiansburg, and Shirley Ann Ratcliff of Pembroke; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Memorial services will be conducted Wednesday, April 2, 2014 in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. A private scattering of his cremains will be conducted by the family. Online condolences may be sent by visiting kendallfuneralhome.com.
