Charles Gusler Whittaker, Jr. “Charlie”, 80, of Heritage Hall – Rich Creek died Thursday morning, September 11, 2014 in Rich Creek after a long illness. Born in Giles County on March 21, 1934, he was a son of the late Charles G., Sr. and Hattie Riggs Whittaker. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, and his sisters Myrtle Rosalee Whittaker and Evelyn St. Clair. He leaves to cherish his memory a sister Christine St. Clair of Pearisburg and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, September 15, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke. Burial will follow in Angels Rest Memory Gardens in Narrows. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 4 to 6 pm Sunday evening. The Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke is in charge of the arrangements.
