Whitt, Pearl Mann

Pearl Mann Whitt, 92, of Radford, passed away Friday, October 26, 2007 at the New River Valley Medical Center. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Radford and was retired from Burlington Industries with 36 years of service.

She was born June 20, 1915 in Chilhowie, the daughter of the late John William and Dora Leona Taylor Mann. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Whitt and her parents.

Survivors include two sons, Doug Whitt of Laporte, Colo., and Carl Whitt of Radford; a sister Lucy Davenport of Chilhowie; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 29, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with the Rev. Gina Rhea and the Rev. Chris Reisman officiating. Interment will follow in the West View Cemetery in Radford.

The family will receive friends from 4 until 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the First Christian Church, 400 Tyler Ave., Radford, Va., 24141.
