Whitt, Glenna Caldwell

Glenna Caldwell Whitt, 61, of Radford, Va., went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, October 1, 2009, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born in Longshop, Va. on October 29, 1947, and was preceded in death by her father, Brady Wingo Caldwell.

She is survived by her husband, Charles David Whitt Sr., of Radford; her mother, Catherine Caldwell, of Christiansburg; her son and daughter-in-law, Charles D. Jr., and Angie T. Whitt, of Pulaski; two grandchildren, Jessica Whitt and James Whitt; two step grandchildren, Eric Trail and Brent Trail; three sisters, Linda and R.H. Albert, McCoy, Iris Caldwell, of Durham, N.C., Grace and Phil Speirer, of Christiansburg.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 5, 2009, at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Judy Yonce and the Rev. Delores Caldwell officiating. Interment will follow in the Rockford United Methodist Church Cemetery, Fairlawn. The family will receive friends Monday from noon until service time at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg.
