Whitt, Edna Carico

Edna Carico Whitt, 94 of Blacksburg, formerly of Galax, Va., passed away on Monday, January 19, 2009 at The Kroontje Health Care Center in Blacksburg, Va. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orba E. Whitt. Mrs. Whitt is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Drusilla and Danny Yopp; her grandson, Nicholas B. Yopp and his fiance, Laura Bolt, all of Christiansburg. She is also survived by special family Doris and Harry Jennings, of Dublin, and Melissa and Mike Preston and their daughters, Stacy and Victoria, of Salem, Va. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Kroontje Health Care Center for their kindness and loving care of Mrs. Whitt. There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at Monta Vista Memory Gardens in Galax, Va. with the Rev. Neal Turner officiating.
