Frances Mae Jones Whitlow, 64 of Pearisburg peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 24th, 2011 at Lewis Gale Hospital at Montgomery in Blacksburg. A lifelong resident of Giles County, she was born on June 20th, 1946 and was the daughter of the late Claude Swanson and Euna Mae Dunn Jones. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Carlos Jones, Robert Jones, Dorsey Dean Jones; and a sister, Pansy Rose. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she was a faithful member of New Village Church in Staffordsville. Her greatest blessings came from her children, grandchildren, and her church family. Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Joyce Wagner and husband James of Greenville, West Virginia, and Vicky Cumbee of Rich Creek; a son, Bill Bradley and wife Tierra of Midland City, Alabama; seven grandchildren, Alisha Jett, Aaron Bradley, Cassie Wagner, Andrew Wagner, Billy Bradley, Rebecca Wagner and Adrianna Cumbee; a great-granddaughter, Erin Denise Jett; a sister, Katherine Farrington of Middletown, Delaware; several nieces, nephews and cousins, and many special friends. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, January 28th, 2011 at 11 AM at New Village Church in Staffordsville with Pastor Terry Mays and Rev. Anthony Carter officiating. Weather permitting, burial will follow in Sunset View Cemetery in Bozoo, West Virginia. The family will receive friends at New Village Church Thursday from 6 to 8 PM.
