WHITED, Carl William

Carl William Whited, 77, of Dublin, passed away Friday, September 22, 2006 at his home.

He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Dublin and a retired welder for Norfolk and Southern Railroad with over 43 years of service. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Love Whited of Dublin; two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry William and Maryann Whited of Radford and Daniel Wayne and Diane Whited of Pulaski; two daughters and son-in-law, Cathy and Mike Turpin of Radford and Teresa Whited of Dublin; a brother, Laroy Whited of Bristol, Va.; a sister, Charlotte Hughes of Swords Creek; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 24, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Grace Baptist Church in Dublin with the Rev. Robert Martin and Pastor Darlene Marshall officiating. Graveside services will be held Monday, September 25, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Va.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Grace Baptist Church in Dublin. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. The Whited family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. www.mullinsfuneralhome.com.
