White, Sadie Blankenship

Sadie Blankenship White, 87, of Bland, went to be with the Lord Thursday, August 2, 2012, at Lewis Gale Pulaski Hospital. She was born January 16, 1925, in Giles County, the daughter of the late Millard Filmore and Bessie Radford Blankenship. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Wade Blankenship; and three sisters, Georgia Underwood, Mabel Clark and Anna Foley. She is survived by a son, Larry D. White, Bland; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jane and Harry Miller, Princeton, W.Va., Rebecca W. and Robert Barlow, Marion; two grandchildren, Patrick White and Nicki Walsh; two great-grandchildren, Patrick Owen Walsh and Peyton Walsh. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, August 6, 2012, at the A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, White Gate with the Rev. Danny Shortridge officiating. Burial in the Shiloh Cemetery, Bland. Visitation will be at the funeral home Sunday after 2 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
