White, Patsy Jones
Patsy Jones White, 57, of Princeton, W.Va., formerly of Pearisburg, died early Sunday morning, August 5, 2007, at the Princeton Health Care Facility on the Courthouse Road in Princeton, W.Va.
Born March 17, 1950, she was the daughter of the Reverend Jimmie W. and Audrey Palmer Jones of Halls Ridge Road, Princeton, W.Va. Patsy was a graduate of Princeton High School, Class of 1968 and received her Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene from West Liberty State College. She was the first registered dental hygienist in Mercer County and began her career with Lynn Veneri, D.D.S. in Princeton, W.Va. Upon moving to Pearisburg, she served as a dental hygienist for Stubbs Family Dental, serving with Perry, Paul and Julie for over 30 years. Patsy enjoyed a great relationship with all of her patients, she loved them and they loved her.
She and her family had lived in Pearisburg for 30 years, moving back to Princeton, W.Va., in May of 2006. Patsy was a member of Johnston Chapel Baptist Church on Halls Ridge Road, Princeton, W.Va., where she served as the church pianist for more than 22 years. She was very gifted with her musical abilities, having played for hundreds of weddings, receptions, funerals and other gatherings. Patsy was a very special person to many people, having shared her faith and love for the Lord.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 33 years, H. L. White; her daughter, Shelly White of Nashville, Tenn.; her parents, Jimmie and Audrey Jones of Princeton, W.Va.; brothers, Arnold Jones and wife, Margaret of Daleville, Va. and J.T. Jones of Princeton, W.Va.; her maternal grandmother, Delsie Aldridge of Alta Vista, Va. and several special brothers-in-law, sistersin-law and nieces and nephews. She will leave a host of special friends and a large church family to cherish her memories.
A service to celebrate the life of Patsy Jones White will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 8, 2007, at Johnston Chapel Baptist Church, Halls Ridge Road, Princeton, W.Va., with Pastors John King, Jerry Martin, and Jim Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens on the Courthouse Road in Princeton, W.Va. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Johnston Chapel Baptist Church in Princeton, W.Va. Family and Friends may share condolences via www.memorialfd.com.
