White, Helen Lucretia

Helen Lucretia White, 91 of Draper, died Thursday, September 7, 2017 at her residence. She was born on May 2, 1926 in Draper, and was the daughter of the late Lucretia Elizabeth Gerberich Baker and Dailey Graham Baker.

She attended the former Draper Christian Church (DOC). During WWII she participated in the war effort by working at the Bagging Plant in Dublin. Later when her son arrived, she retired to become a mother and homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Murrell White, a brother, Thomas Graham Baker, Sr. and a nephew, Thomas Graham Baker, Jr. She is survived by her sons, William W. White and Bobby Meadows, both of Roanoke, a nephew, Jefferson Graham Baker and his wife Holly of Northern Virginia.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Duncan Cemetery, Draper.
